The AKOBEN Foundation's mission is to address and eliminate the attitudes and behaviors that fuel poverty, educational disparities and environmental barriers that hinder progress.

The AKOBEN Foundation, Incorporated is a nonprofit community service organization located in Baltimore, Maryland. Our vision is to develop an envionrment where local citizens are activily moving toward life-long achievement. Since our inception, AKOBEN has worked tirelessly to ensure our mission is widely known and executed within the community. Our work includes participation in local events such as Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake's Annual Community Clean-up, a multi-location clothing drive and providing support to homeless citizens. In recognition of our efforts, The AKOBEN Foundation, Inc. was a proud recipient of the 2012 Dr. Louise-Jones Johnson achievement award for community service and advocacy.
