Our Mission:
This September, the world is invited to Silicon Valley to hear independent, original performers and see Silicon Valley technology on its own turf. To experience our music scene, enjoy our weather, taste our food and celebrate the digital culture explosion. It’s also an opportunity for the valley’s hard working technical workforce to experience a festival of music and advanced ideas without having to sleep on someone’s couch in another city.

About:
This September, the world is invited to Silicon Valley to hear independent, original performers and see Silicon Valley technology on its own turf. To experience our music scene, enjoy our weather, taste our food and celebrate the digital culture explosion. It’s also an opportunity for the valley’s hard working technical workforce to experience a festival of music and advanced ideas without having to sleep on someone’s couch in another city. This year’s three-day conference will inaugurate the new wing of the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, a beautiful, brand new $120 million expansion. More than 100 speakers will appear on sessions about big data, wearable technology, business reinvention, augmented reality, social transportation, the sharing economy and a lot more. Be sure to check out the schedule highlights, as well as the session-by-session full schedule. Oh, and there will be parties every night as Downtown San Jose comes alive with a single-wristband music club event. We’ve booked more than 70 bands and are staging a major concert with Iggy and the Stooges in St. James Park. This year’s speakers include social media superstar Robert Scoble, “Breakpoint” author James Stibel, new Yahoo! Chair Maynard Webb, video game inventor Nolan Bushnell and “Digital Vertigo” author Andrew Keen. Zuckerberg Media COO Bradley Lautenbach will share talk about digital content creation that’s shaking up the entertainment industry. The CEOs of cutting edge companies like Quixey, Desti and Tempo AI will be on hand, as will leaders in the social transportation revolution: Sidecar, RelayRides, Flightcar and Zipcar. 2013 music keynote speaker James Williamson will talk about how he went from a makeup-wearing guitarist with Iggy and The Stooges to a tie-wearing executive at a big Silicon Valley technology company — then retired and rejoined the band.
